about me + my story

Let’s reminisce on old times together. Here’s a little recap of the last 10 years, from my time in high school to where life is taking me next.
I remember time in high school as creative. I was an Arizona girl dreaming of living in New York City. I watched movie after movie, pretending I was a Tisch film student. Instagram was becoming something and I used it as an outlet (I’ll always brag about Gia Coppola following me). I followed the original fashion bloggers and was an iPhone 5 photographer, wanting to replicate an aesthetic. I had creative friends and we spent all our money on disposable cameras.
Fast forward to my college days. I was a new Christian and figuring out my faith. I wasn’t devoted to my major and couldn’t picture how I would use my degree. I had no idea what I was doing besides knowing I wanted to follow Jesus. Then I met the love of my life. Jacob is my favorite memory from college. My story is like yours, I love love and fell fast. Jacob proposed three months after we met and we started wedding planning!
Jacob and I got married in 2019 in his childhood church surrounded by both our families. We were both 20 years old and looking back, we were so naive with no expectations for the day, it felt perfect in every way! I’m so thankful I found my person so young. He’s my best friend and we’re growing up together.
Post graduation, Jacob and I moved to Portland, OR for him to pursue a master’s degree in ministry. We romanticized it with all our might, but in reality, it was the hardest time being away from family, friends, and our home state of Arizona. I decided to start a master’s degree in teaching when we moved back to Arizona. But I realized it did not give me the freedom I need for a future family or the freedom I crave for creative work. So here I am head first as a business owner and all my dreams from high school just make sense. Jacob and I are so happy to be settled in Phoenix where we love to hike, tell our Golden Retriever Willard he’s the bestest brown sugar angel puppy, and jam out to Ruston Kelly along Route 51.
